Hudson Shipping Co is a Brooklyn cargo bike courier and logistics company. We deliver across New York City with an all-electric fleet, a warehouse in Gowanus and routing and tracking platform we built ourselves.
Who we are
Hudson Shipping Co was built in Brooklyn, in the middle of complex and busy streets. We pair electric cargo bikes with geospatial technology to run a courier service that stays reliable in dense traffic. Our pilot launched in 2025 and the service is now live, with 99.8% on-time delivery.
Why cargo bikes
A cargo bike does not need a parking space, does not sit in the same traffic as a van and does not need fuel. Our fleet is 100% electric pedal-assist, so every delivery is zero-emission. We run two models: the enclosed Venture for parcels and totes, and the open Flatbed for oversized and palletized freight.
The Gowanus warehouse
Our warehouse is in Gowanus, Brooklyn. That puts us in the quickest position to serve South Brooklyn, and we deliver across all of NYC. Jobs are consolidated at the warehouse before they go out on a route.
Our technology
We built freight.nyc, the routing and tracking platform we use to run our own deliveries. Other companies use it too. Every Hudson Shipping Co delivery has a live tracking link and proof of delivery.
People
Andre Debuisne is the founder and CEO. He is a systems engineer who has spent his career working on large distributed networks and optimization.
