CSA and farm share delivery in Brooklyn
Hudson Shipping Co is a Brooklyn cargo bike courier. We deliver weekly CSA and farm shares to members and pickup points across the borough, on a fixed schedule and a zero-emission fleet.
A weekly route that repeats
A CSA delivers the same kinds of shares to the same places each week. That is what a recurring route is built for. You give us the pickup, the list of drop-off points and the weekly day, and we run it.
Because the schedule repeats, you can plan around it, and your members know when to expect their share.
Member drop-offs and pickup points
We can deliver shares to members’ addresses or to pickup points such as a shop or community space. Each delivery has a live tracking link and proof of delivery, so you know the share arrived.
What we carry
Shares packed in standard totes suit the enclosed Venture. The Venture’s 13 ft³ box carries up to 400 lb per trip. Bulk loads for a pickup point can ride on the open Flatbed, which has a 16 ft² deck. See the fleet page.
We can provide insulated totes that keep goods at the same temperature for the duration of the trip. Tell us if shares include items that need to stay cool.
How it runs
- You send us the share locations and the delivery day.
- We plan the route with our routing technology for bike lanes and stop density.
- We pick up at your packing site and deliver in order.
- You see proof of delivery for each stop.
Schedules
CSAs often run once a week. A private CSA route can use the days you pack on. We are based in Gowanus and fastest across South Brooklyn, and we deliver across all of NYC.
